Co-Sponsorship

Become a Co-Sponsor

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on your community? Join forces and become a co-sponsor for a refugee family.

  • As one of the ten national refugee resettlement agencies, ECDC collaborates with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) to facilitate the resettlement of refugees into communities with affiliate organizations.
  • Co-sponsors, composed of dedicated teams of seven or more individuals, play a vital role by offering long-term support, collecting donations, mentoring refugee families, and assisting ECDC’s affiliate agency’s case managers in delivering essential services.
  • It’s an opportunity to help newcomers feel at home and become self-sufficient in their new environment while fostering stronger community bonds.

Benefits of Co-Sponsorship

Co-sponsorship goes beyond aiding refugees; it enriches your own life as well. By becoming a co-sponsor, you’ll be forging powerful bonds with refugee families and strengthening connections within your community. This commitment not only accelerates refugees’ integration but also cultivates positive attitudes toward resettlement.

It’s a two-way process where sponsors learn and grow, making this a profoundly rewarding experience for all involved. If you’re ready to embark on this meaningful journey, ECDC provides guidance, training, and resources every step of the way.

Together, let’s create a welcoming and supportive environment for refugees, empowering them to become contributing members of our community. Join us, as a group of seven, in making a difference today!
