Stitch-Ed Together
Stitch-Ed Together is ECDC DC Metro’s premier sewing group. Stitch-Ed Together functions as a skills training program for refugees and immigrants in the DC metropolitan area. The group will provide introductory sewing classes and projects structured around developing their sewing skills and hands-on production.
“Stitch-Ed Together currently has a partnership between the African Community Center of the DC Metro area and Pagne Lifestyle. Stitch-Ed Together supports skills development, community integration, livelihoods, and economic opportunities for refugees and immigrants in the Washington, DC area. Every product, made with 100% cotton African wax print “pagne”, is handcrafted by refugees and immigrants. Every purchase provides income directly to our participants who receive both training and a portion of the sales of each product. “
